Young Tiger
This program contains a detailed curriculum focused on improving pre-school aged children's basic listening and motor skills. These skills will help them enter society with a more confident and enthusiastic approach. We Believe between the ages of 4 and 6 are the more important years of child's development. Our program can enhance positive development in a fun and motivating way.

There are 8 major skills that our instructors focus on when training children 4 to 6 years of age. Those skills are:

  1. Focus
  2. Teamwork
  3. Control
  4. Balance
  5. Memory
  6. Discipline
  7. Fitness
  8. Coordination

Each class, we will cover one of these skills with a variety of activities that are fun and at the same time educational. The following are some activities that we cover in our Young Tiger Class.

  • Tiger Speed Test - all the students move about (like tigers) until we give the command "attention" They all must move to attention as fast as they can. This drill teaches them discipline to stand still when told.
  • The Jungle Game - We all pretend that we are in the jungle and when the instructor calls out an object such as a branch, they must all duck; if the instructor says log, they must jump; if the instructor says bear, they must pretend to be sleeping so the bear does not see them. This drill works on their memory and reaction skills, not to mention that it is a great workout.
  • Tiger Clean-Up - we take all of our targets and kicking pads and place them al over the floor. We then split the class into teams and have a contest to see which team can pick them up the fastest. This teaches them team work, and also makes cleaning their own room fun.
  • Tiger Personal development - each day we draw a special lesson out of our Tiger hat and discuss how each lesson can help us become a better Young Tiger.

As you can see, we male learning fun and educational. Tae Kwon-Do is much more than kicking and punching, it's being the best that you can be in everything you do, just like a Black Belt. Our motto is "Young Tigers Today, Leaders Tomorrow"
